Initially the company focused on developing explicit pocket watches and chronometers with creativity, technology and excellence. In 1920, the company got relocated from Sonvilier to Geneva. The Chopard company has developed a vast variety of watch collections including quartz, mechanical timepieces and technically approved classic and sporty ones. Chopard creates 1000 Miglia collection after the partnership with Mille Miglia vintage and classic car rally held every year in Italy. In 1998, the Chopard also became the official partners with Cannes film festival.
